Padmashree singer Anuradha Paudwal distributed hearing aids to hearing impaired children of municipal school in Mumbai under her foundation in Mumbai. Her initiative was started by Union Minister (Road, Transport and Highways) Nitin Gadkari. Gadkari distributed hearing aids to 120 children of municipal schools in Mumbai by Suryodaya Foundation under the ‘Gift of Sound’ initiative. The event took place at Rangsharda Auditorium, Bandra West. On this occasion the veteran singer said… ‘Today I am completing 50 years of my singing career. It is also our duty to do something for the society which gave us so much love and respect.

Realizing this social responsibility, we have started this initiative. It is our dream to take this initiative to the pan-India level and I am sure we will achieve that dream very soon. Whereas Gadkari said that… Anuradha ji has started this project realizing her social responsibility. Social consciousness, social responsibility and social awareness are the three important things. This is a very commendable initiative which empowers the oppressed and the victims and the disabled to live in the true sense.
