However, he emphasized that he wants to break free from this stereotype and venture into other genres that pique his interest. He shared an incident where some people objected to his film ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’ because it deviated from the gangster genre. However, when he released the teaser of his film ‘Kennedy’, the same people hailed it as his comeback, which puzzled him as he had already made the film two months prior.
Anurag’s desire to explore different genres beyond crime showcases his creative evolution as a filmmaker. He is determined to make films that challenge him artistically and allow him to showcase his versatility.
