A delegation led by Chandigarh BJP OBC Morcha Chandigarh State General Secretary Om Prakash Mehra and Rajinder Bagga met Hansraj Ahir, Chairman, National Commission for Backward Classes at UT Guest House on Wednesday. The delegation raised the demand by giving a memorandum that the recommendation of two gazetted officers is required to obtain the OBC caste certificate. That’s why there is difficulty in getting caste certificate.
This process should be simplified so that the OBC people of Chandigarh can take advantage of the schemes. 27 percent reservation should be implemented immediately in education and medical as well, so that it can be benefited in jobs in Chandigarh. OBC Commission Chairman Hansraj Ahir assured that soon the demand would be met after talking to the concerned ministries. The delegation included BJP OBC Morcha Chandigarh team members Sohan Singh, Satpal Dhiman, Bharat Yadav, Kuldeep Kashyap, Brajesh and Ramesh Kumar.
