Fixing IT portal is top priority: Infosys

Infosys Limited, the company that created the new portal of the Income Tax Department, has said that it is working expeditiously to plug the loopholes in the portal. Announcing the financial results for the first quarter (April-June, 2021) of the current financial year, the company said, rectifying the flaws in the new IT portal is its top priority. According to the company, many problems being faced on the portal have been resolved and 10 lakh Income Tax Returns (ITRs) have been filed on it so far. The company’s net profit grew nearly 23% to Rs 5,159 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year. The company has also raised its revenue estimate for the current fiscal to 14-16%.

Infosys CEO and MD Salil Parekh said that the company is working hard to make all the facilities available on the new portal. The portal still needs some improvements.
