Hockey: India will host the Asian Champions Trophy for the first time

India will host the Asian Champions Trophy Hockey for the first time. The tournament will be held in Chennai from August 3 to 12. International hockey matches will return to Chennai after 16 years. Earlier, the Asia Cup was played in Chennai in 2007. This will be the seventh season of the prestigious continental tournament.

Pakistan and China are yet to confirm their participation in the tournament. Other teams in the tournament Host India, defending champion D.K. Korea, Malaysia and Japan. India has also won this tournament three times. The last Champions Trophy was held in Dhaka in 2021, in which the Korea had won.
