Initiative started to increase export of agricultural products

The farmer grows the crop with great effort. Many efforts are being made by the government to ensure that he gets proper results from his hard work. In this sequence, the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has launched a campaign to make farmers aware and train them to increase their income. Recently, such a workshop was held in the Varanasi region, in which more than 200 farmers participated. Scientists and officials of premier institutions were present in this.

The workshop provided valuable inputs for promoting the export of agricultural products as well as adherence to globally recognized Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) by the farmers. It was also told in the workshop how farmers should do pest-free farming. How they identify diseases in fresh fruits and vegetables. Apart from this, a special session was organized in the workshop regarding the export of bananas. In this, information about the processing of bananas was given to the banana growers.
