Rights of ‘KH 233’ sold for 125 crores before release

Kamal Haasan recently announced his upcoming film with director H Vinoth, tentatively titled ‘KH 233’, which will address a social issue. Exciting news has emerged regarding the film, as reports indicate that its digital rights have been sold to an international OTT giant for a whopping Rs 125 crore. This marks the second-highest price ever paid for digital rights, with Vijay’s ‘Leo’ holding the top spot. It’s worth noting that ‘Leo’ has already generated a business of Rs 225 crore even before its release, while ‘KH 233’ is also gaining value before production has even begun.
The film will also feature Vijay Sethupathi and Yogi Babu, though the star and crew are yet to be announced. Kamal Haasan was last seen in ‘Vikram’ in 2022 and is currently shooting for ‘Indian 2’ with director Shankar, set to release in theaters next year. The actor has several other projects in the pipeline, including ‘Project K’ and ‘KH 234’ with Mani Ratnam.
