Actor Sidharth Malhotra is promoting his film Shershaah in Kargil. In the film, Siddharth will play the character of Captain Vikram Batra, who was martyred in the Kargil War. The film will be a biopic of Captain Vikram Batra. Siddharth told that films should be made on army heroes. He says that we have made the film with the aim that the general public should understand that how difficult it is to become an army soldier, how much sacrifice has to be made. The freedom we are enjoying living in big cities is because of our soldiers. Indian army is the best army in the world. With the technology we have, the spirit of the soldiers comes at the highest level in the world.

I am from an army background. My grandfather was in the Indian Army. My father also wanted to join the army, but he got a job in the merchant navy. I have grown up watching movies, but Shershaah is different from these films because it is a biopic. Captain Vikram Batra’s love story, his personal life, the courage he fought in Kargil will all be a part of this film. A new kind of war film, which will strike a balance between the reel and real. The film Shershaah will release on August 12 on Amazon Prime Video.
