Takht is my passion project, I will definitely make it: Karan Johar

Karan Johar’s film Takht is one of the big films with Karan whose work came to a halt due to the pandemic. It was also said that Karan might not make this film anymore. However, Karan has made it clear that he will definitely make this film, as it is his passion project. In an interview, Karan said, I will make Takht soon after my upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The question of not making this film does not arise. Takht film is a part of my heart, I can’t leave it. I have given two to two and a half years to prepare for that film. We were supposed to start shooting for Takht from April 24 last year, but before that, the pandemic struck in March. More than a thousand people are needed on the sets of this film. It is a period film, set in the era of the Mughals.

It will be a family story of the people of that era. Takht movie can never be closed. I always say that while I am looking forward to directing Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Takht is my passion project. No one can run away from his passion. Karan, who made his directorial debut five years after the 2016 release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, says that I am looking forward to directing Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. I want to come on set. I want to see Ranveer and Alia dancing in the film. Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi will be seen in the film.
